B&B La Ferme Buissonnière is the ideal starting point for beautiful hikes in the region. From Bardou and the surrounding villages such as Issigeac, Eymet and Monbazillac, there are beautiful marked paths for walking.

The route ‘Le Chemin d’Amadour’

In 2023, the ‘Le Chemin d’Amadour’ route was opened. This beautiful hiking trail starts in ‘Soulac sur Mer’ and goes all the way to ‘Rocamadour’ over a distance of no less than 500 km! The tour was divided into 21 beautiful stages. Along the way you not only enjoy nature, but also the beautiful patrimony.

We are very proud that B&B La Ferme Buissonnière was chosen as a ‘Hébergement Rando Étappe’!

Stage 14

From the medieval town of Issigeac, the path runs through open countryside to our village of Bardou with a beautiful church in early Romanesque style and a castle just outside the centre.

The path then runs to the village of Naussannes. There you will find the chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes, built in 1958 with the remains of a dovecote.

Along the way we arrive in the fortified town of Beaumont-Du-Périgord with a fortified church that commemorates the Hundred Years’ War. An hour later we are in Saint Avit Senieur with the striking abbey church with cloister for pilgrims to Compostella.

Guests of our B&B and gîtes can be taken by us to the starting point in Issigeac. They can also be picked up at the end point. The total distance of stage 14 Issigeac-Saint Avit Senieur is 20 km. From Bardou to Saint Avit Senieur it is 14 km.

The Bergerac-Rocamadour road

A former 180 kilometer pilgrimage route linking Périgord to Rocamadour, this magnificent route allows you to safely cross the vineyards and hills of Bergerac, before following the green Dordogne valley and its cliffs, to arrive in the Ouysse.

The 3rd stage of this walk takes you to Bardou (our village with a beautiful church and castle), Beaumont, Saint Avit Seigneur (abbey and church known for its good acoustics), Cadouin, etc…

It goes without saying that if you want to do the full hike, our bed and breakfast ‘La Ferme Buissonnière’ is a perfect stopover!
