Hiking in Dordogne
Hikes
B&B La Ferme Buissonnière is the ideal starting point for beautiful hikes in the region. From Bardou and the surrounding villages such as Issigeac, Eymet and Monbazillac, there are beautiful marked paths for walking.
The guest rooms and the gîte are also located on the Saint-Jacques pilgrimage route, a 180 km path from Bergerac to Rocamadour. B&B La Ferme Buissonnière is also a ‘Hébergement Rando Étappe’ on the new route Le Chemin d’Amadour (500 km).
The route ‘Le Chemin d’Amadour’
In 2023, the ‘Le Chemin d’Amadour’ route was opened. This beautiful hiking trail starts in ‘Soulac sur Mer’ and goes all the way to ‘Rocamadour’ over a distance of no less than 500 km! The tour was divided into 21 beautiful stages. Along the way you not only enjoy nature, but also the beautiful patrimony.
We are very proud that B&B La Ferme Buissonnière was chosen as a ‘Hébergement Rando Étappe’!

Hikes in the Pays de Bergerac
There are many opportunities for walks in the area around La Ferme Buissonnière and Bergerac. Both for beginners and experienced hikers. The choice is wide: along castles, along picturesque villages, or simply through nature… the choice is yours.
It is a pure pleasure to walk these hiking trails in Pays de Bergerac. So many landscapes, atmospheres, decors, all carefully marked out and maintained. Promise: you will never be disappointed!
The Bergerac-Rocamadour road
A former 180 kilometer pilgrimage route linking Périgord to Rocamadour, this magnificent route allows you to safely cross the vineyards and hills of Bergerac, before following the green Dordogne valley and its cliffs, to arrive in the Ouysse.
The 3rd stage of this walk takes you to Bardou (our village with a beautiful church and castle), Beaumont, Saint Avit Seigneur (abbey and church known for its good acoustics), Cadouin, etc…
It goes without saying that if you want to do the full hike, our bed and breakfast ‘La Ferme Buissonnière’ is a perfect stopover!
